Dear Diary,

For the longest time, I thought someone else had to bring the romance.

Light the candles. Set the mood. Make me feel seen.

But tonight, I did it all for myself.

I drew the bath.

I chose the playlist.

I wore the perfume that clings to my skin like a promise.

I touched myself.. not just with my hands, but with intention.

I honored my body, my breath, my energy… slowly, softly, deliberately.

Like finding magic I forgot I possessed.

No one had to choose me tonight.

I chose myself.

And it was more than enough.
